Lip Augmentation

Full and healthy appearing lips are a sign of youth and beauty. During the aging process the volume of the lips diminish and the texture of the tissue surrounding the lips age. This can lead to thin lips with fine wrinkles.

In addition, the corners of the lips can descend to produce an angry or sad appearance. With the use of lip injections including lip fillers (Restylane^® and Juvaderm^®) and neurotoxins (Botox^® Cosmetic and Dysport^®), the lips can be rejuvenated and enhanced without surgery. At the Cosmetic Center, we augment lips with lip fillers to produce a natural rejuvenated appearance to avoid the overfilled look. All lip injections at our Cosmetic Center in Chevy Chase are performed by our cosmetic surgeons. Lip augmentation is performed with topical anesthesia as an outpatient procedure. The effects of lip augmentation using lip fillers can last anywhere from 9 to 12 months or longer, however the neurotoxin effect will diminish in approximately 3-4 months.

The Cosmetic Center at Washington Eye Physicians and Surgeons can accommodate walk-in visits for Botox^® and/or dermal filler injections.
